Well designed, but not exactly flashcards

These are well designed flashcards, and they have nice packaging but be warned: aside from the vocabulary flashcards, the rest are just practice test questions with multiple choices on the bottom from the book.
For the math "flashcards", you have to have another sheet of paper so you can answer the problems. It's not a flashcard when you have to work out of problem on a piece of paper. It's a flashcard. Look at it, answer it, and go onto the next one. Instead of the math questions the flashcards had, it should of had vague questions about what you do when you come across a certain problem or have flashcards helping with conversions between metric and customary.
The science flashcards are better, they still ask you questions that might be on the test but it still bothered me that it was just practice questions (I saw some of them in the textbook's practice tests). The electricity, auto, and shop flashcards are also in this same format. They aren't bad flashcards, they will still help me learn the material, but its just odd seeing multiple choice answers below the question as if I was taking a test instead of practicing with flashcards.
The vocab flashcards are definitely worth the price, since they are actual flashcards. Look at the word, say the answer, and go onto the next one. Flashy.
I'm still kind of disappointed though, I was hoping that the math flashcards would help me out with conversions because I have a hard time knowing how many grams are in one kilogram, for example. I'll have to make my own flashcards for that, but at least I have plenty of practice questions.
But, if you know your math and don't really need the math flashcards other then to have more practice questions, go ahead and get these.

Here's What You'll Get

First off, I mostly agree with D.J.'s review. It is true that these "flash cards" are mostly multiple choice questions. He also says you need a pencil and paper do the math questions. Not necessarily. I was able to do all of them in my head, but math is my best subject, so maybe that's just me. Try to avoid using a calculator because they are prohibited on the actual test. The vocab questions were, in my opinion, the most helpful. I also have a set of SAT vocab flash cards, and I was surprised to discover that these are better. With every work, there is a definition (usually a short sentence), sentence using the word, list of synonyms (about 3), and list of antonyms (about 3).
In addition, here's what you'll get: 9 sections in 400 cards. Each card is labeled with its number, so you won't mix up order. Each set of cards is labeled by a shading in a unique spot on the top of the cards. The sets are:
Cards 1-55 = General Science
Cards 56-105 = Arithmetic Reasoning & Mathematics Knowledge
Cards 106-255 = Word Knowledge (Vocab)
Cards 256-270 = Paragraph Comprehension
Cards 271-305 = Electronics Information
Cards 306-330 = Automotive Information
Cards 331-355 = Shop Information
Cards 356-380 = Mechanical Information
Cards 381-400 = Assembling Objects
I did find a number of errors, or maybe I'm just wrong. If you buy them, check these out and respond.
On Q17 science, I think answer should be 40 (not listed), but its 32 (D).
On Q55 science, there is a disharmony between the answer listed and the explanation to support it.
On Q57 math, answer should be 32 (D), but it's 31 (C). I calculated 31.4, but by the nature of the question, we need to round up. It asks for a minimum number of people, and since 31 people is not enough, you must have 32.
On Q68 math, there's a grammatical error in question, but probably not big enough to change its meaning.
On Q95 math, I calculated 12.5 (not listed), but answer is 14 (B). In the answer explanation, the problem is written down differently than it was in the question.
On Q360 mechanics, there is a redundancy in the correct answer (D) ("lever" listed twice).
A plus of these cards is that I found some of them humorous. Some of the answers are so ridiculous they made me laugh. Q365 mechanics was my favorite, choice (D), haha.
Despite all this, I enjoyed the set, and I would recommend it. 3.5 stars, rounds up to 4.
